Youth Leadership Through Adventure Day Camp

Youth Leadership through Adventure (YLTA) is offering two day camp sessions for local students with an interest in adventure and improving their leadership skills! Throughout the week students can expect to paddle, climb, bike, and hike over central NH with American Mountain Guide Certified & Wilderness First Responder Certified staff. Students can also expect to be presented with initiatives and challenges designed to improve skills such as communication, trust, confidence, and leadership. 

  • THIS CAMP IS FOR STUDENTS ENTERING GRADES 6 THROUGH 8

  • COST FOR EACH SESSION IS $150 FOR THORNTON RESIDENTS

  • COST FOR EACH SESSION IS $170 PER CAMPER FOR NON RESIDENTS (REGISTRATION WILL OPEN TWO WEEKS AFTER THE RESIDENT REGISTRATION)

  • This Camp is for students entering grades 6 through 8

  • Cost for each session is $150 for Thornton Residents

  • Cost FOr EACH seSSION IS $170 per camper for non residents (registration will open two weeks after THE resident registration)

  • Session 1: August 12-16th (Day Camp 9am-4pm) Registration

  • Session 2: August 19-23rd (Day Camp 9am-4pm) Registration 

White Mountain Adventure Camp (Staff: Alyson & Luke)

Youth Leadership Through Adventure (YLTA) is hosting our summer 2024 adventure camp this June. With certified AMGA (American Mountain Guide Association) climbing, PMBIA (Professional Mountain Biking Instructor Association) biking, and certified ACA (American Canoe/Kayak Association) instructors; your children will come away from our 4 day, 3 night program feeling confident and prideful in their abilities to take on an adventure in the White Mountains.
Located at our Basecamp location at the entrance of the White Mountains, we do overnight lodging in our 2 yurts and can provide all of the gear needed to come and adventure with us! We plan to spend as much time as possible outdoors.

  • This camp is for students entering grades 6 through 9

  • Cost for each session is $500

  • Session 1: June 17th - June 20th (overnight) Registration

  • Session 2: June 20th - June 23rd (overnight) Registration (Session Full)

Canoe Camp (Staff: Alyson & Luke)

Youth Leadership Through Adventure (YLTA) is hosting our summer 2024 Canoe camp this August. With certified ACA (American Canoe/Kayak Association) instructors; your children will come away from our 4 day, 3 night program feeling confident and prideful in their abilities to take on paddling in canoes on some beautiful lakes & rivers.

Flagstaff Lake - Maine

Paddling on flat water on the beautiful Flagstaff Lake located in Maine. It was formed by the damming of the Dead River in 1950. Underneath this lake is an actual town (the town was empty before it became a lake). It is the 4th largest lake in the state of Maine.

This camp is for students entering grades 6 through 9

PSU/YLTA White Mountain Adventure Wrestling Camp (Staff: Ryan Carr, Alyson & Luke)

Our wrestling adventure camp which will take place at oou Basecamp located at 72 Beebe River Road in Campton is designed to provide these young athletes with a life-changing experience, combining intensive wrestling training with amazing outdoor adventures including; rock climbing, canoeing, hiking and more.

The August 3rd-5th, 2024 White Mountain Wrestling Camp is led by experienced coaches and role models who have overcome similar challenges, our program focuses on refining wrestling techniques, building physical fitness, and nurturing mental resilience. Your athletes will receive personalized coaching and dedicated practice sessions.

Rock Climbing Camp (Staff: Alyson & Luke)

NO EXPERIENCE NECESSARY, just a desire to learn the craft of climbing! Located at our Basecamp at the entrance of the White Mountains in Campton, NH. We provide overnight lodging in our two yurts located on our property and can provide all of the gear needed to adventure with us! We plan to spend as much time as possible outdoors.
