HS YLTA Retreat

Join us for an unforgettable overnight leadership retreat designed to inspire and empower high school students. This retreat offers a mix of team-building activities, leadership workshops, and outdoor adventures, all aimed at developing skills like communication, problem-solving, and decision-making, participants will have the chance to connect with peers, build confidence, and discover their potential as leaders in a supportive and engaging environment. Surrounded by nature, this experience will challenge students to grow both personally and as part of a team.

YLTA Advisor Training

By the end of the training, attendees will have the knowledge to create and advise Middle & High school YLTA groups in their own school and fully implement the program with fidelity to the model. Participants will: Learn about the core components of YLTA; Learn strategies for implementation; Discuss fidelity as related to implementation; Be introduced to experiential education, environmental prevention strategies  and service learning as related to the YLTA model; Participate in and learn about culturally relevant programming; Experience an evidence-based approach to group development; Learn how YLTA is being implemented at other sites; Explore the implementation readiness of your community.

Celebrate Red Ribbon Week

Red Ribbon Week (October 23-31) is the nation’s largest and longest-running drug-use prevention campaign. It serves as a time for communities to come together to raise awareness about the importance of living a healthy, drug-free life. At ADAPT, we’re proud to support this initiative by encouraging youth to make positive choices, build resilience, and lead by example. Together, we can inspire and empower the next generation to stay drug-free and focused on their future.

Chris Roma Memorial Golf Tournament

As most of you know we tragically lost Christopher Owen Roma on January 17th, 2024 while he was attempting to complete the "Pemi Loop" hiking trail. He was an avid outdoor enthusiast and was loved by so many. Chris was an integral part of the Adapt Program in northern New Hampshire and in his honor we are looking to give back to the organization in the form of a scholarship for some of the kids that would like to attend the program. All proceeds from the golf tournament will be placed in the "Chris Roma Memorial Scholarship Fund".

Middle School Leadership Conference

This is a 2 day conference that is held at the AMC Center in Bretton Woods, NH and is a program of Adapt, Inc. The conference will involve small and large group activities, content workshops, and action planning for school-based substance misuse prevention and school climate strategies. Nine middle schools will be represented in this year totalling over 100 participants from all across Central and Northern NH.
